BREAST IMAGING 2014:
A WORKSTATION-BASED INTERACTIVE COURSE ON
EARLY BREAST CANCER DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS
Course Description
This intensive three-day Breast Imaging course provides radiologists the unique opportunity to enhance their skills at early cancer detection through an interactive workshop at the workstation, viewing 100 mammograms containing many small cancers on their own, and then individually reviewing all 100 cases with an expert faculty. Upon completion of the workshop, they will receive a certificate verifying that they interpreted 100 digital mammograms under supervision. BECAUSE OF THE WORKSTATION-BASED FORMAT OF THE COURSE, ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 160 REGISTRANTS!
The workshops will be complemented by the presentation of 24 didactic lectures by a world-class faculty, covering a balanced overview of more traditional breast imaging, blended with the newest state-of-the-art breast imaging techniques and modalities. Special attention will be given to Breast MRI and Breast Tomosynthesis, and evolving imaging and interventional techniques. Operational and communication issues will also be addressed, as well as the new 5th edition of the BIRADS lexicon. Expert panel discussion will be included, allowing attendees further opportunity to enrich the learning experience through direct interaction with faculty members.
